Acceptable Behavior

Unacceptable Behavior
Includes but is not limited to:
- Sexual harassment: Unwelcome sexual advances or conduct.
- Discrimination: Unjust treatment based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or orientation.
- Bullying: Repeated negative behavior, including exclusion or verbal abuse.
- Aggression/violence: Verbal, psychological, or physical intimidation.
- Substance abuse: Use of substances that impair professionalism or safety.
- Sexual exploitation and abuse: Abuse of power or trust for sexual gain.
Procedures for Addressing Violations
- Direct resolution: Raise the issue with the individual involved, if safe.
- Seeking support: Report to supervisors, designated staff, or the Director.
- Formal complaint: File a written complaint for impartial investigation.
- Resolution: Corrective measures may include warnings, suspension, termination, or legal referral.
Prevention and Awareness
- Training and resources to build awareness and accountability.
- Accessible, confidential reporting mechanisms.
- Protection for whistleblowers from retaliation.
It is reviewed annually to reflect evolving needs and best practices.
